Well, we're off to a great start to the 2011 / 2012 school year! This year's John Muir walk-a-thon was a blast & pictures will be posted soon! Please turn in those envelopes as soon as possible. The Alhambra High School Homecoming parade is right around the corner. This year's theme is "Alhambra Presents..."
Each school in MUSD & each high school class will be presenting a parade float with a different movie theme. John Muir PTA is sponsoring this year's float, featuring the movie Toy Story. We will be working on our float every Friday after school from 2:45 to 4:30 in the cafeteria, from now until October 21st. If your child attends Woodbridge on Friday afternoons, he/she will have the option to participate in helping to create the float. All students are welcome to participate in making the float and must be accompanied by an adult at all times. John Muir PTA can not be responsible for your child.
The Homecoming Parade takes place after school on Friday, October 28th. If your child is interested in walking in the parade, there will be a sign up sheet available during the Friday after-school float creating sessions. If you have any questions or would like to donate materials, time or talent, or if you have any Toy Story character costumes you can loan, please email Amanda Tamo at jatamo@hotmail.com or Ellen Concepcion at concepcions2002@gmail.com.
